Abstract
Seated at a pleasant terrace overlooking the Venice Lagoon Andrés Jaque shared with Volume his insights on the agency and account ability of networks. From his research on dating apps like Grindr, Jaque calls attention to the mechanisms of control that are being put in place by digital infrastructures – sometimes without even its own initiators knowing how they operate. He calls for an activism coming from designers and architects that combines ‘mild statements with super bold actions’.
